Music Deaths: Marty Balin of Jefferson Airplane and Starship
MARTY BALIN, 76
Died September 27, 2018
Vocalist, guitarist and co-founder of Jefferson Airplane. Was also with Jefferson Starship on "Miracles" (#3-1975). Had a solo Top ten with "Hearts" (#8-1981)
With the Airplane on "Somebody To Love" (#5-1967), "White Rabbit" (#8-1967)
Was also on "With Your Love" (#12-1972) and "Count On Me" (#8-1978).
With the KBC band with fellow Airplane alum Paul Kantner and Jack Cassidy.
