Gone, But Not Forgotten: Rock and Roll Era Musicians

This past Jan. 2, 2011, Bob Stroud's Rock and Roll Roots show was dedicated to those musicians of our era who died in 2010.

I will be writing about them on my history blog http://cootershistorything.blogspot.com in the coming days.

But here is the list:

ROBERT LESTER of the Chi-Lites
JOHNNY MAESTRO of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Crests
MIKE EDWARDS of Electric Light Orchestra

Alex Chilton of the Box Tops and Big Star
JIMMY ROGERS of the Mauds
RONNIE JAMES DIO of Dio, Black Sabbath and Rainbow

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART-- Don Van Vleit
PETER QUAIFE of the Kinks

BOBBY HEBB
SOLOMON BURKE

DOUR FIEGER of the Knack
DALE HAWKINS

And, Stroud left out General Norman Johnson of the Showmen and Chairman of the Board.
