Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

Where Were You January 9, 1977?-- Part 1

Bob Stroud played an hour and a half on this date in 1967 and then Time Warped to the same date ten years later, 1977, or 34 years ago.

IWe were living in Round Lake Beach, Illinois, just a couple blocks east of Fairfield Road. We had a great group of neighbors and spent most weekends doing stuff with them. Plus, two neighbors and their wives were on a bowling team as were Liz and I and another couple of neighbors a couple houses away. It was fun when we played them in league.

Liz and I were both teaching in the Round Lake School District. I was at Magee Middle School in Round Lake teaching 7th and 8th graders social studies. Liz was at Beach School in Round Lake Beach teaching 1st grade.

HELLO OLD FRIEND-- ERIC CLAPTON-- (One of my favorite EC songs.)
FLY LIKE AN EAGLE-- STEVE MILLER BAND--

I WISH-- STEVIE WONDER-- the first of a couple of Steves
WALK THIS WAY-- AEROSMITH-- (I liked their "rap" version with Run D.M.C. also.)

LIVIN' THING-- ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA-- the latest for Jeff Lynne and his group. George Harrison's good bud.
THIS SONG-- GEORGE HARRISON-- (Being careful he didn't get sued for stealing "This Little Song."
