Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

WLS Silver Dollar Survey Dec. 31, 1960

From the WLS 94.9 FM website.

It is great seeing the call letters WLS, although now WLS-FM, back on the air.

There was quite the mix of music being played at WLS way back fifty years ago!!

10. NORTH TO ALASKA-- Johnny Horton
9. RAT RACE-- Richard Maltby
8. ANGEL BABY-- Rosie and the Originals

7. LONELY TEENAGER-- Dion
6. YOU'RE SIXTEEN-- Johnny Burnette
5. A THOUSAND STARS-- Kathy Young
4. MAGNIFICENT SEVEN-- Al Caiola

3. EXODUS-- Ferrante & Teicher
2. ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT-- Elvis Presley
1. WONDERLAND BY NIGHT-- Bert Kaempfret

These are definitely songs you would expect to hear being played together on today's radio. But, that was then.
