Going Back to 1970-- Part 2

Some More Songs from Wendy Rice's WXRT 1970 Saturday Morning Flashback.

SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED, I'M YOURS-- Stevie Wonder
Music Festivals Losing Money in 1970

BOX OF RAIN-- Grateful Dead-- (Love them when they do album cuts, but not when they jam live.) From one of two albums released from that year: American Beauty and Workingman's Dead.
SPIRIT IN THE DARK-- Aretha Franklin
THE LETTER-- Joe Cocker
TARKIO ROAD-- Brewer & Shipley

The Sad, Sad, Sad 1970 Chicago White Sox-- 56-106 record, 42 games out of first. Starting outfield hit 22 home runs. Andy the Clown and his blinking red nose wandering around yelling "G-O Y-O-U W-H-I-T-E S-O-X!!" The one bright spot in an otherwise dismal season.
TEARS OF A CLOWN-- Smokey Robinson & the Miracles

LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH-- Steve Stills
TWO OF US-- Beatles
ANGEL-- Jimi Hendrix
ROADHOUSE BLUES-- Doors

You paid $1.59 for a 30-pack of Pampers. Tina Fey and Kelly Ripa born.

Bringing Back Some Memories. --RoadDog
