Summer, What Summer?

It may be officially summer right now, but someone needs to tell the weather that little bit of information.

It's been cool and rainy all week.

Monday, we were planning on putting our boat in, finally, and then going downriver on a friend's boat. We had a few rain showers and it threatened so badly all day, both those were cancelled.

Tuesday, the weather wasn't too bad when we had the new air conditioner installed. Afterwards, I went to the "Super 8" movie and at some point during it, we had a several minute deluge. Then, while we were at Fire Wood for tacos and beer, a fast-moving storm came through knocking out power and delaying the Cubs-Sox Crosstown Classic game at Comiskey Park in Chicago. I understand some people in the Chicago area still don't have electricity.

Wednesday, it rained off and on all day. We even lost electricity twice. I was trying to do some yardwork in between showers, but finally gave up. I'd get out for ten minutes, be forced in by rain which would end in a few minutes, sun come out, go out again, repeat the process.

Today, it is raining off and on again with temps in the mid-60s.

Needless to say, the boat is STILL NOT in the water. Maybe tomorrow.

Come On Summer!! --RoadDog

YOU MIGHT BE FROM CHICAGO...If you measure distance in minutes.
