JSS: Another Three Inches-- Winter Wonderland-- Keep Me Away from After-Christmas Sales-- Losing Them Bowl Games-- Tommy's, No Choppers

JSS-- Just Some Stuff

1. ANOTHER THREE INCHES-- Sunday, I had to go out and clear off another three inches of the white stuff, bringing Saturday's snow fall to 10 to 12 inches. All the while, I heard the sound of snowmobiles in the near distance. Hope they're enjoying themselves. Their treat is my sore back.

2. WINTER WONDERLAND-- One good thing about all this snow, however, is the scenery. The trees and bushes are covered with the stuff. We even had to take a ride around the subdivision to look at the trees. We knew we had a lot of Douglas firs and the like, but the white trimming really brought the numbers into focus.

I had to take the movie camera and digital cameras out to capture Key North (as we call our place).

3. KEEP ME AWAY FROM AFTER-CHRISTMAS SALES-- Just got back from a run on some of the local stores' half-price Christmas sales. That was a quick $60. But that was some really neat stuff.

4. LOSING THEM BOWL GAMES-- If you want to insure that your team wins its college football bowl game, you need to contact me and for a nominal sum, I'll back the other team. I think last year only five teams I backed won. This last Saturday, Ohio, North Carolina and Boston College all lost close games.

5. TOMMY'S, NO CHOPPERS-- Yesterday, we were heading up to Chopper's in Antioch for 25 cent wings and $1 pints. Ran into Kora at Walgreen's and ended up at Tommy's here in Spring Grove where we enjoyed $1 tacos, beer nuggets and $3 23-ouncers. Too bad about the Saints and Colts.

Just Some Stuff-- RoadDog

A Winter Statistic: 98% of people say "Oh $H!T" before going into a ditch on a slippery road. The other 2% are from Wisconsin and say, "Here, hold my beer and watch this."
