Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

Football and a Festival

SATURDAY, OCTOBEER 8th--

Saturday, it was an old town square and fall foliage on the way to Dekalb. Took a ride around Woodstock Square, dating to the 1850s, and did see tree color in some places (but most still on its way).

We were guests of the university at the Kent State football game which was won 40-10. Never thought we'd get to drink legally in Huskie Stadium. Then, there was a stop at Marengo Settlers Festival on the way back (Il-23 blocked off downtown).

SUNDAY, OCTOBEER 9th--

Stroud Time Warped to Oct. 9, 1968, and Oct. 9, 1973. Listening to his first two songs from '68 right now, "Those Were the Days" by Mark Hopkin and "Time Has Come Today" by the Chambers Brothers. Recorded on my 'lil old cassette deck. Then listened to the WMIL Top Country 35 On Deck. Had $5 pizza and pitchers at All-Sports, boating, then $5 pitchers at the Squaw Bar.

A Great Fall Weekend here in the Midwest. --RoadDog
