Where Were You October 9, 1973?-- Part 2

Songs on your radio back all those years ago.

KNOCKIN' ON HEAVEN'S DOOR-- BOB DYLAN-- Actually part of an album soundtrack "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid."
HIGHER GROUND-- STEVIE WONDER-- Playing all the instruments from his new albums Inner Visions.

JIMMY LOVES MARY-ANNE-- LOOKING GLASS-- Had given us "Brandy" a year earlier. (Two really fine pop tunes.)

LOVES ME LIKE A ROCK-- PAUL SIMON-- with the Dixie Hummingbirds.
ALL I KNOW-- ART GARFUNKEL-- First solo hit and Paul's former partner.

FREE RIDE-- EDGAR WINTER GROUP-- From the album They Only Come Out At Night. (One of the songs that reminds me so much of our drive from the wedding in Dekalb, Illinois, on August 25, 1973, to our honeymoon in Galena.

Good Stuff. --RoadDog

PARAPROSDOKIAN SENTENCE: Whenever I fill out an application, in the part that says "If in an emergency, notify:" I always put "DOCTOR."
