JANUARY 22ND, 2015
After checking into the Hotel Winneshiek, we took a drive around Decorah to see where things were as we'd never been here before.
We stopped at the Toppling Goliath Brewery tasting room and sampled four brews and then three more. We liked most of the offerings. Next was Your Place on Main Street. The place was packed with an older crowd AND, believe it or not, we saw no one glued to their smart phones as is always the case in bars attracting a younger clientele. We also got to meet the Decorah Eagle Man himself, Bob Anderson there and had a nice long talk with him.
Went back to the hotel and then walked over to T-Backs and watched the Bulls victory and had some great cheese curds. Last stop was the Tap Room at the hotel where we talked with the village clerk from Winona, Minnesota, who was in town for a conference.
