16. As popular as Elvis Presley was, the only Grammys he won were for religious recordings where he won them for Best Scared or Inspirational Performance. However, in 1971 Presley was the first rock artist to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, called the Bing Crosby Award back then.
17. Elvis' Christmas album spent 4 weeks at #1 when it was released in 1957. His run at #1 was interrupted by the re-release of Bing Crosby's 1945 album Merry Christmas. Elvis and Bing died within two months of each other in 1977.
18. His last #1 album while he was alive was Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite which topped the charts in 1973 It displaced Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.
19. Elvis had the #1 single on the Country Chart with "Way Down when he died in August 1977. He returned to #1 on the Country Chart posthumously in March 1981 with a remix of his 1968 hit "Guitar Man."
20. Cheap Trick's 1988 remake of Elvis' "Don't Be Cruel," which went to #4 in October, marked the first time a remake of one of Elvis' Top Ten hits went to the Top Ten by another artist.
