FRIDAY, JULY 31-- driving back from North Carolina. Left Richmond, Indiana, and drove home. After cutting the grass, we went to Sunnyside Tavern to enjoy my first Happy Hour in Illinois in a lot of years. Then went to the Legion.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 1ST-- We went to the Legion on Nippersink Lake in the afternoon and saw a duo play oldies music. Then, we went to Captain's Quarters on Fox Lake and saw one of the best bands we've seen recently, Midnight, who really played a lot old songs from the 1960s and 1970s that we've never heard other bands play. We were just staying for one set, but ended up there for two.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 2ND-- Recorded Bob Stroud's trip back to the Summer of 1975, playing songs from August 2, 1975. We went to Sunnyside Tavern and Captain's Quarters where we saw the band Phidget for a set. Then went to Nauti-Knots on Bluff Lake and Lake View Place on Grasslake.
