Redbone and Blue Swede

BLUE SWEDE--  "Hooked ona feeling" went to #1 in 1971.  Swedish rock band formed to back Bjorn Skifs in convert,  they did the cover of B.J. Thomas' 1969 song.  Stayed on the U.S. charts for 18 weeks.  The poor folks I deejayed for would always have to listen to the beginning several times or more.  I still like it.

REDBONE--  Big song "Come and Get Your Love"  Million-selling, gold certified #5 in 1974.  Native American rock group most active in the 1970s.  Formed in 1969 in Los Angeles.  The Redbone name is a Cajun term referring to persons of mixed race.  Also had a big hit with "Maggie" in 1970 and "Witch Queen of New Orleans."
