JSS: Homecoming Parade-- Not That Old-- Halloween and Oktoberfest

JSS-- Just Some Stuff

1. HOMECOMING PARADE-- Earlier today, I was in Fox lake, Illinois, for Grant High School's Homecoming parade. It wasn't very long and where did we get all this cold weather? Only one band and all floats and vehicles were high school related. No politicians. Guess they "figgered" most of the students were too young to vote.

2. NOT THAT OLD-- The Class of 1980 had a float. I heard some youngsters remark as they went by, "Man, 1980, that's O-L-D!!" Oh yeah? Try Class of '69!!!

3. HALLOWEEN AND OKTOBERFEST-- Getting ready to put my Harvest/Halloween stuff up which means pumpkins in all front windows, orange lights outside and assorted sundry items.

Later, Liz and I are planning on going to Fox Lake's Oktoberfest at the Lake front Park. Brats and sauerkraut and Oom-Pah Music. Later, the New Invaders play. An excellent group that focuses on music from '64 to '69.

Just Some Stuff. --RoadDog

WHY MEN SHOULD NEVER TAKE PHONE MESSAGES. This was a found on a refrigerator.

"Someone from the Gyna College called.
They said the Pabst Beer is normal.
I didn't even know you liked beer."
