Songs for 10-10-10

Bob Stroud was not going to let the once-in-a-lifetime event of 10-10-10 pass without doing a Root Salute to it on his weekly Sunday morning Rock and Roll Roots show on Chicago's Drive FM, 97.1 and 96.9 FM.

His first song was "Thirty Days in the Hole" by Humble Pie. Can you guess why? Answer is below.

10-10-10 Songs

30 DAYS IN THE HOLE-- HUMBLE PIE
DELTA LADY-- JOE COCKER-- Well, she really was a "TEN!"

TEN MEN WORKIN'-- NEIL YOUNG AND THE BLUE NOTES
10TH AVENUE FREEZE OUT-- BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

TEN DOLLAR MAN-- ZZ TOP
CLOCK STRIKES TEN-- CHEAP TRICK

HEAVEN IS 10 ZILLION LIGHT YEARS AWAY-- STEVIE WONDER
TEN YEARS GONE-- LED ZEPPELIN

DIME-A-DANCE ROMANCE-- STEVE MILLER
BIG TEN INCH-- AEROSMITH

The next three all have to do with the name of the group.

INDIAN GIVER-- 1910 FRUITGUM COMPANY
THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE-- 10CC
I'M GOING HOME-- TEN YEARS AFTER

"Thirty Days in the Hole" Thirty= 10+10+10. Get It!!

Of course, he could have included "Bobby Bare's "Numbers" because "There Ain't No Ten!"
