School's Out...But Not Forever.

We did, after some effort, get the School's Out...Forever out of the water this past Friday.

We bought it in 2003 and until 2006, it was just School's Out. If you saw us out in it, school was out, either for the day, weekend or summer. Now that we are both retired, we added the Forever. Liz came up with the name and with some help from dear old Alice Cooper's "School's Out."

Our other getting out of school song was "Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd so I guess we could have named the boat "Another Brick." Then we could have added "...in the Wall."

We had quite a time naming it. I wanted a blockade-runner name like Banshee or Ad-Vance. But when Liz said School's Out, I realized she had given it the perfect name for a couple of teachers, and that was it.

So, that's how it got its name.

THE LAST SENIOR PERKS: Your supply of brain cells os finally down to a manageable size.

Actually, Liz and I fry more than a few when we're out at the bars, but often, we play NTN, so maybe that helps them somewhat.
