Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

9-11 "Circle of Flags" Commemoration in Johnsburg Today

From the Johnsburg (Illinois)  Library site "9-11 Remembrance in Johnsburg, Illinois.

They started last night preparing the grassy area between the library and First Midwest bank on Johnsburg Road.  Today, September 11th, they will be having "The Placing of the American Flags" at 9 a.m..  They will fly until 7 p.m., when there will be retrieval.  I plan to be at both ceremonies.

This commemoration is largely through the efforts of Barbara and Don Klapperich

This has taken place every year since 2005.  Twenty-eight large American flags and poles are placed.  Tonight, there will also be a candlelight service.

A Fitting Way to Observe This Tragic Event.
