It has been painful to go to the ol' gas pump these last two weeks.
First, the GRBs at Big Oil jacked gas from $3.46 to $3.60 in honor of Labor Day (their little attempt to make people's lives better, you know). Over the next week, they dropped it AL:L the way to $3.54. Let's see, that was a 14 cent jump in less than a minute, then six days to drop 6 cents.
Then, this past Saturday, in Fox Lake, Illinois,.the gas went from $3.54 to $3.75, a 21 cent jump in a matter of minutes. On the way home from the NIU/NU game, it had dropped to $3.70, where it still remains as of Wednesday.
Why? "We Don't Need No Stinkin' Reason," say the GRBs at Big Oil. We wanted more money is apparently the reason. And, they don't have to worry about any politicians giving more than lip service about this latest gas gouge.
