Deaths: Hilano Ramus (Association) -- Jessica Cleaves (Friends of Distinction)

From Oldies Music News.

These are deaths that happened in the music world that had an impact on me.

HILANO "LARRY" RAMUS, 71:  Died April 30, 2014.  Early member of the Association, born in Hawaii.  Member of the New Christy Minstrels before joining the Association.  Sang on "Windy" (#1-1967), "Never My Love" (#2--1967) and "Everything That Touches You" (#10--  1968).  The Association was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

JESSICA CLEAVES, 65:  Died May 2, 2014.  Original member of the Friends of Distinction and later sang with Earth, Wind and Fire and Parliament/Funkadelic.  The Friends of Distinction formed in Los Angeles in 1966 and were discovered by football player-turned-actor Jim Brown who got them signed with RCA.

She sang on hits "Grazing in the Grass" (#3--1969), "Love Or Let Me Be Lonely" (#6--  1970) and "Going in Circles" (#15-- 1969).
