JERRY CORBITT, Died March 9, 2014. Guitarist and founding member of Boston's Youngbloods in 1966 with Jesse Colin Young. The group became the house band at Cafe Au Go-Go in New York City. Mr. Corbitt wrote and was lead singer on the minor hit "Grizzly Bear" which went to #52.
Their "Get Together" really launched the band's career, but only went to #62 in 1967. But when it became the promotion for the National Conference of Christians and Jews, it went to #5 in 1968.
PETER CALLANDER, 74. Died February 25, 2014. Lyricist for "The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde," "Billy Don't Be a Hero," "The Night Chicago Died" and "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast."
