Governor Mark Dayton proclaimed today, May 3, 2014, as"Pete Seeger Day" in the state. This would have been his 95th birthday. He died January 27, 2014.
Over 35 performers will present a multi-media even in St. Paul tonight.I was unable to find out his Minnesota connection.
Also, Creedence Clearwater Revival's leader, John Fogerty (my favorite group) will deliver the commencement address at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music on May 16th.
